how do we work

welcome,

Let us introduce you to a revolutionary approach of getting beautiful pictures from us.

The normal way to make money as a photograph is to charge people a fixed rate an hour and give them the processed images as a print or in form of a file on a CD.
This fixed rate is around 150-200$ an hour + driving time for each photograph and means that it can be very expensive for a family or a young student to get nice pictures.

This approach is great if you make a living with photography or work for commercial buisnesses who can easily afford these rates.

Our approach is a bit different and we try to explain it here in a couple of simple lines,

we contact you in a bar, a cafe or just on the street, show you some of our work and give you a business card with our website and phone number. Now once you tell us that you are interested we will make a simple deal with you.
You pay us gas money (roughly 20$ in town, 50$ to Sacramento, other location are negotiable) and we take pictures of you and put them onto our website, protected by a password. Basically you get your own little gallery with us!

Now you can look at your pictures, show them to friends and this gives you these possibilities:

  • you pay for the pictures you like a fee to print them
  • you want to have the digital files to print them your self or use costco/rite aid/ritz since they are much cheaper than we are. So you buy the files from us in the resolution you want. This is the preferred way if you like a lot of pictures or want to have them for web pages like facebook, match.com or myspace. It makes also sense to to buy these files if you want to print them for the whole family, since this is much cheaper than to print over our store.
  • if we decide to take a file from your shoot for our portfolio, well you get low resolution files for free of this particular shoot. These files are perfect for web sites or 4x5/4x6 prints
  • you are happy to just have them on our website, which Is fine with us since we do this for fun. You are not forced to buy anything from us!

thank you for your time and have a nice day.
